The Houston Fire Fighters Burned Children’s Fund is dedicated to fire prevention education and to providing aid to children in the Greater Houston area who have been burned or injured in accidents, fires and other incidents.
Established in 1992 by a Houston firefighter, the Fund is believed to be the first nonprofit organization to successfully sell firefighter calendars to raise funds to help injured children. Our volunteers and staff have raised more than $2 million through calendar sales and other efforts to provide support, services and medical items for more than 3,100 pediatric burn survivors.
The Fund relies on the support of individual, corporate and nonprofit donors, and cooperation with the Shriners Hospital for Children in Galveston, Camp Janus for children recovering from burns, and the Houston Fire Department, among others. The Fund is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization.
